Accuracy & Limitations

CalcGrids calculators produce estimates based on the inputs you provide and the formulas used. Understanding what these results mean — and what they do not mean — is important before using them to make decisions.

Results Are Estimates

All calculator results are estimates. They are based on mathematical formulas applied to the values you enter. Real-world outcomes depend on many factors that no calculator can fully account for, including individual variation, changing conditions, and factors not captured by the inputs.

Rounding

Results are rounded for practical display. Small differences between the displayed result and a manually calculated value are expected due to rounding at the display stage. Intermediate calculations use full floating-point precision.

Health Calculators

Health calculators (BMI, BMR, TDEE, calorie needs, body fat) use population-average equations derived from research studies. These equations produce estimates that may differ significantly from an individual's actual values due to factors including genetics, body composition, medical conditions, and medications.

Health calculator results are informational only and are not a medical diagnosis, clinical assessment, or substitute for professional medical advice. Do not use these results to make health or medical decisions without consulting a qualified healthcare professional.

Financial Calculators

Financial calculators (mortgage, loan, investment, compound interest, savings) use standard mathematical formulas with the assumptions you provide. Real loan and investment outcomes depend on actual interest rates, fees, tax treatment, market performance, and other factors not captured by these calculators.

Financial calculator results are informational only and are not personalised financial advice. For decisions involving significant sums of money, consult a qualified financial adviser or your lender.

Currency Conversion

Currency rates are sourced from the Frankfurter API, which provides reference rates published by the European Central Bank. These rates are updated on business days and may differ from rates offered by banks, currency exchanges, or payment processors, which typically include fees and margins.

Unit Conversions

Unit conversion factors are sourced from established standards (BIPM, NIST). Results are accurate to the precision of the conversion factor used. For scientific or engineering applications requiring high precision, verify against primary standards.

When to Seek Professional Advice

Use CalcGrids for general understanding, planning, and estimation. For decisions that involve significant financial commitments, health matters, legal obligations, or engineering requirements, verify results with a qualified professional.

IMPORTANT

CalcGrids is an informational tool. Results are estimates and should not be the sole basis for important financial, medical, legal, or professional decisions.
